BAD NEWS -- Wasting no time, both the Texas Senate and House Transportation Committees are hearing a duo of very bad bills this week.

We refer to these as 'vendor bills,' because special interest lobbyists (not we-the-people) work 24/7 to get them passed. Why? Because successful passage means millions of dollars in revenues.

SB 744 by State Sen.
Donna Campbell (R) and HB 3034 by House Transportation Committee Chair Tom Craddick (R) would resurrect photo ticketing scams, but this time they are using cameras mounted on school buses instead of red lights at intersections!

The Texas Legislature repealed red light camera ticketing scams just a few years ago, but now the same company we chased out of Texas wants to bring them back - on school buses!

Many of the same arguments apply to both these bills - they don't make our roads safer, they raise privacy issues, and the camera companies make millions from issuing unconstitutional automatic tickets for minor infractions.

CALL TO ACTION: MUSLIM COMMUNITIES IN TEXAS

SENATE BILL 854 TX SB854 | 2025-2026 | 89th Legislature | LegiScan

COMPANION BILLS:

  • HB 3172 BY GATES
  • HB 1248 BY LUCIO III
  • HB 1856 BY ISAAC

Muslim communities like EPIC (East Plano Islamic Center) City and EPIC Ranches are gaining traction in East Plano.  They have acquired over 400 acres in Josephine, Texas to build this community.  These bills will allow these communities to make decisions outside state or US laws.

Ever been to a Muslim run country?  Ever heard the minaret loudspeakers shrieking Muslim prayers to the entire community 5 times a day?  Is that what we want in TEXAS??!

  1.  Tan Parker is working HARD to block these Muslim communities from establishing foot holds here in Texas.
  2. There are 3-4 bills in the Senate; one has already passed ALLOWING such communities. It SNUCK past the Senators with all the activity they are involved in.
  3. Senate AND HOUSE need to hear from us ASAP that WE DO NOT WANT THESE COMMUNITIES IN TEXAS.
  4.  They are sneaking in as they are incognito bills. The bill relates to municipal regulation of multifamily and mixed-use development on religious land. It DOES NOT say anything about the Muslim community doing this. It DOES provide for municipal law to be circumvented.

WE ARE ASKING YOU TO CONTACT YOUR REP AND TELL THEM YOU DO NOT SUPPORT THESE BILLS OR ANY BILLS THAT CIRCUMVENT MUNICIPAL LAWS.

This will be like having a little country in the middle of Texas. We as good citizens can NOT support this.

Luke Macias talks about the implications of these bills:

Planned Parenthood is Planning Heavy Opposition

The Texas Senate Committee on State Affairs will have a public hearing on SB 406 by Senator Mayes Middleton which would prohibit an individual from changing their “sex” on their birth certificate.

This bill would prevent men invading women’s spaces and other problems that we see when individuals claim to be a gender that is not their biological sex at birth.

If you cannot come to Austin, please email the Senate State Affairs clerk Victoria Ross and express your support of this bill.
